American National Property & Casualty (ANPAC) is a much smaller company than several of the others we reviewed, but has been around since 1973 and has received several ratings and awards for customer service and financial stability. They provide a complete line of homeowners insurance that will compete with the top dogs.
This company isn’t a large company, but does an authentic job of offering an extensive line of home insurance. They have coverages for homeowners, renters and those owning a condominium. Each specific type of insurance has a very detailed section outlining the features and what the policy protects. When you click on a particular type of homeowners insurance, you can find on the right-hand side of the page there is a section called related information. This site is quite a bit harder to navigate than the others we reviewed.
At first glance you may start wondering how legitimate the company is by how cluttered their site is and it is very hard to immediately identify that ANPAC is an insurance company. They do list their products pretty clearly on the right-hand side of the homepage. The meat of their homepage is comprised of informational articles, customer reviews and information about available careers with the company.
Over the years, this company has received recognition for their customer service and strong financial position. They received 777 out of 1,000 with J.D. Power for customer satisfaction in payment and billing, policy offerings, interaction and claims. They also received an AA- rating with A.M. Best for their financial stability and strong commitment to their borrowers. This shows to consumers their strength as a company in areas that mean a lot to people shopping for insurance: quality customer service and financial stability.
ANPAC doesn’t offer an online quote form, but does provide you with an extensive list of toll-free phone numbers, mailing addresses and email so you can conveniently and quickly get connected with the company. Their claims office is open 24/7 and they do provide an online account manager for you to manage your account, print ID cards or manage a claim.
The absence of FAQs is pretty glaring considering it is the simplest form of supporting customer questions online.
